The Dallas Fort Worth Hedgehog Show
& Sonic the Hedgehog Convention

Admission to the show is free but you will need to register in advance here if you wish to enter your hedgehog(s) into the IHA event at the show. There is a small fee per hedgehog you wish to register but this fee covers entery into any or all of the showing events and not just the Conformation event.  All payments must be recieved along with your registration form for each hedgehog being registered by no later than October 20th. *ONLINE registrations will now be accepted through November 2nd via email and PAYPAL!

*Registration is $15.00 per hedgehog being entered.

HEDGEHOG CHECK IN for those competing in any of the show events including the Conformation show will begin Friday night November 6th at the Southfork Hotel (Time TBA). Please note that the check in process can take a bit of time. If you are staying at the hotel the night of the 6th please check in your hedgehog that day! Please check your hedgehogs in as early as possible to avoid a long wait. Check in on the 6th will start at 9:00 am and close one hour before the scheduled show event.

Pet Carrier Policy:

ALL HEDGEHOGS MUST BE BROUGHT TO THE SHOW IN PET CARRIERS! 

The personal carrier that you use to walk around the show can be of your choice provided that the carrier securely closes. We suggest pet taxis, small fabric carriers, etc. *a cardboard carrier is ok to use but we ask that attendees please refrain from bringing their hedgehogs along with them in shoe boxes or other home made containers that may easily break open. Animals must remain in carriers when in hotel guest rooms as well. *This is our hotel's policy and failure to comply with this request may result in your being asked to leave the show and/or hotel without refund.

 IHR REGISTRATION POLICY:

Hedgehogs must be registered with the International Hedgehog Registry to compete in any show event at the Dallas Fort Worth Hedgehog Show. Please visit the IHR website and register your hedgehogs!

Show Judge: Dawn Wrobel

Our Judge for this year's show is Dawn Wrobel. visit her website for more information on Dawn. She is the author of a popular guide book to owning pet hedgehogs and she will be teaching an all day class at Mrs. Tiggy Winkle's Hedgehogs in Carrollton on the 8th of November (the day after the show). Details and sign up info for the class are posted at the link found at the bottom of the guest page.

Show Catagories:  Juvenile & Adult (Senior is being included in the Adult catagory at this year's conformation event.)

Best Of Show winner is to be awarded 2 tickets to the Holiday Ball Dinner Banquet to be held after the conclusion of the show event. Tickets will be at a table with one of the Guests of Honor from the show. Additional prizes TBA

 Dress your hedgie in her very best and have her walk our cat walk for a chance to win the title of Miss Hedgie Texas 2009!

What are your girl's talents, her hobbies, her favorite frilly gown?

This is a costume pageant for little girl hedgies to strut their stuff in the best little outfits their mommies can wrangle up for them. Careful in those heels ladies!

The winner gets the traditional tiara, sash, boquet, and bragging rights until 2010's event kicks off. Prizes include Spike's Delite Hedgehog Food & Treats, gift certificates, super wheels, cuddle bags, and more!

If the answer is YES to any of the above then this is the event for you!

There are NO limitaions to this event and a wide variety of unique prizes will be awarded such as 'Best Rescue Story' & 'Best Huffer' among others!
